I’m not very good at skiing, but going on a skiing trip like me and my partner did could be my next favorite thing.
We went to Austria, to a small town called Bad Gastein.
An old spa town, with great old belle epoque buildings. Many of them, build by 400 italians who came to work there.
Going to a skischool is a must for us, there we learned new things, ski more and last longer on the slopes.
My group was an international one. Me icelandic, couple from the UK, one from Serbía, Hollland, Turkey and Danmark and our teacher Jurgen from Austria. Who had been teaching skiing for 23 years.
And we stayed in this beautiful hotel called Miramonte. Its a small hotel only 36 rooms, nicely renovaited in a hip and cool style.
The food was very good, breakfast with good bread, all kinds of home made things, like fruit compots, hummus, there were salad, eggs, porridge, cheeses and fruits.
And the best dinner we got in town was at our hotel.
And the best part of the day was at 18:00 when we went to yoga classes with the hotel yoga teacher Andrea, a great teacher.
We came home in better shape and with happy memories from Bad Gastein.
